Markitforce Breathes New Life…

In addition to becoming a signatory to the Australian Packaging Covenant; continually looking for innovative ways to recycle and dispose of materials; employing energy efficient operating methods; and driving around Sydney in a Toyota Prius; Markitforce has literally gone GREEN!

Office and warehouse staff now have their very own beautiful green PLANTS to look after! Feed them, water them and also give them their own unique names…

‘Bazza The Bamboo’, ‘Mr Hulk’, ‘Lil Miss Bliss’, ‘Happy Herby’ – just to name a few!

Plants in the workplace do not only aesthetically breathe new life; they also enhance employee attitudes, reduce stress, increase productivity and improve air quality.

Here are some of our very “happy” staff with their plants…

Markitforce Delivers Happiness!

Tony Hsieh has built an incredibly successful organisation on the foundations of happiness and core values… A corporate culture engaging staff, clients and suppliers at the highest level, resulting in a business that lives & breathes exceptional customer service.

Sounds good doesn’t it? Well Markitforce isn’t too far behind Zappos…

Further to a 2 day Management Workshop at MGSM which entailed reviewing the success of the Quarter 1 Theme (15 Football Fields of Warehouse Space) as well as setting strategy for the next 3 months, it was agreed that Markitforce’s Quarter 2 Theme would be DELIVERING HAPPINESS!

To communicate this and to engage the entire business, a launch party was held on Thursday 13th in Sydney and Friday 14th in Melbourne, promoting all things HAPPY!

BBQ Breakfast equipped with a Coffee Van, “Happy Higgins” Putting Competitions, “Happy Higgins” Photo Booth Sessions and ‘3 Minute Angels’ Massages were just a few of the fun activities that the entire business participated in.

Alan Higgins (dressed as Mr Happy!) presented a full summary of the 2 day Workshop and staff were given Markitforce Delivering Happiness Safety Vests, Badges, Stress Balls and “Honk if you’re Happy” Bumper Stickers!

The action doesn’t stop there! There will be numerous initiatives throughout the quarter both internally and externally to the business – keep your eyes open! Clients, please make sure you visit us over the next 3 months as we have Happiness Gifts to Give!

Close to our hearts at Markitforce are the Children at the Starlight Foundation. We will be measuring Client Satisfaction across the quarter and should ‘Client Happiness’ increase, Alan will be generously granting a Starlight Wish to a brave child in need of some happiness  🙂

Huge thank you to everyone for making the launch so successful!

Markitforce Delivers a Superstar!

Sometimes there are individuals that have a natural ability irrespective which sporting code they choose to participate in…

An extremely talented soccer player, playing not only for Sydney University 1st Division, however also for the Australian U/19 School Girls…

Devastated in July 2011 by a career ending knee injury…

She chose to work at Markitforce full time, setting very high standards in her role as ‘Despatch Diva’…

When entry forms came around for the 2012 Nissan BRW Triathlon, she felt the timing was right to join 8 other Markitforce team members and “have a crack”!

Caitlin Jarvie certainly did have a crack. She finished 1st in the women’s field with an incredible time of 31 min 59 secs!

Markitforce contacted Brooks (sponsor of the event) and explained the story as well as providing a photo of the “old, almost sole less” shoes she completed the event in. Brooks more than generously sent out a brand new pair of runners for Caitlin!

Massive thank you to Brooks… Massive congratulations to Caitlin… Sporting your new runners, we cannot wait to see what time your produce in 2013! Very proud to have Caitlin as part of the Markitforce Team.

Markitforce a Finalist in the 2012 South Western Business Awards

It is with great pride that Markitforce would like to announce that we are a finalist in 2 different categories in this year’s South Western Business Awards.

The awards ceremony is being held on the evening of Friday 28th September with Markitforce booking 2 tables of 8.

The business culture is one of sharing success with staff, and as a result, Alan and wife Anita have kindly extended the invitation to members of the senior management team as well as recent employees of the month.

We will be sure to update you on our “hopeful” success and here’s to a great night out with the TEAM!
